Chapel Hill
Welcome to "Chapel Hill." We are a Christian Country duo that sings Country Music with a message that God Loves us and sent his son Jesus to pay a debt he did not owe for we owed a debt we could not pay.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Rich Key and Mark Simmons are the founding members of Chapel Hill. Rich was the frontman for his own Country band called "Ruffstock" for many years playinging throughout the Southeast. Mark grew up singing in Church, and performed in Country Music USA at Opryland Theme Park in Nashville. Both Rich and Mark love to write, and all the music on their debut CD "Looking for Something Different," are originals.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We play acoustically live, and use master tracks when doing a performance in churches. We can put a live band together when needed for a venue.
Your musical influences
George Straight, Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker, Marty Stuart, Brooks and Dunn, Jerry Jeff Walker and others.
What equipment do you use?
Takamene and Fender Acoustic Guitars.
