Champ Elder Music

reshaun DeRay Elder, (Born July, 1989) also known by his artist name "Champ Elder" was born in Fort Worth, Texas and raised on the southside in a neighborhood by the name of Berryhill. "Champ" held his first rap performance in the 2nd grade for a middle school talent show, which was were his mother was employed. Champ Elder was raised by his mother, a single parent, that kept him involved with the church choir growing up. He then began free-styling in the sixth grade with family members which encouraged him to push forward with his music talent. On January 13th, 2006 during his junior year of high school, he learned that he suffered a neck injury, which ultimately ended his athletic days and shattered his dreams of one day becoming a NFL running back. But, he wasted no time with his next passion (music). Shortly after, he recorded for the first time ever on a friend's laptop, which did not turn out quite as he expected. It was then, that he realized how deep his love for music really was. Since then Champ Elder has been dedicated to learning the business of music even going as far as learning how to make his own beats, producing all of his own music and recording his own records. Meanwhile, he would also hold music sessions for friends and family in his personal studio, producing and recording for them as well. As he strives to push his talent and brand through the doors of hip-hop, Champ Elder's next plan is to learn the game of promotions and advertising to help with the release of his first album "Live And Learn" .
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I love doing live shows. Its what makes the artist if you ask me. But since i am a unsigned artist with no management its been hell, no lie trying to pick up gigs.
