Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Well, we started out as a recording project back in 1988 with a 4 track reel to reel. our studio was in a chicken coop which was fixed up into an apartment. where i lived for 5 years,which is how i got the nickname Coop.Since then, our toys got bigger and better.4 bands have evolved from this "little chicken coop that could" Certifiable being one of them. Certifiable is 3 dudes who loved to record on weekends with a few beers and whatever else was handy and i won't go into details as to what that means.Coop(bass, guitar),Chris(keyboards,guitar).Donnie(vocals.lyrics)though we all took turns doing different things.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
we did play live but we got sick of it, had more fun recording.our funnest gig was at an open mic where we dressed as elvis and shook baby dolls during a song called "daycare bay shake" we had the audience rolling on the floor laughing
Your musical influences
iggy pop,sun city girls,thinking fellars union local 282,bowie. we are a very diverse band .we play everything with our own twist.we get bored with just 1 style
What equipment do you use?
bass ,guitars, midi drums.keyboards samples of just about anything that makes noise.we never sample other peoples stuff
Anything else?
i think animals make more sense than people do.
