Celestial Voices, formed in late 2002 by Ron Bridgemon and Adam Matthews, is an art rock/progressive rock group that creates ambient sounscapes and intoxicating rhythms.
Band/artist history
Celestial Voices began in late 2002 as a collaboration between Ron Bridgemon and Adam Matthews. They both compiled several solo songs that they were working on at the time and co-wrote 2 songs together and turned them into 2002's The Storm Amongst You. The Storm Amongst You featured the lyrics of Adam Matthews, Adam also provided vocals and guitars on most tracks. Ron Bridgemon contributed bass guitar, programming and moog synth. In early 2003 Ron joined the Phoenix based band The Clayton Chronicles as their full-time bass player and Adam Matthews formed a band called LunarFx. Celestial Voices would have to be put on hold for a while. In mid 2004 The Clayton Chronicles went on hiatus and Ron Bridgemon began work on the second Celestial Voices album. This album, entitled Dreamstate showcased Ron's song-writing acumen as all lyrics and music were composed by Ron Bridgemon with the exception of one track which was co-written by Tim Culver, the keyboard player for The Clayton Chronicles who alsoplayed keyboards on the album. Adam once again provided lead guitar and vocals on this project. In the summer of 2005 Ron moved back to his home town of Tucson, AZ and had to permanently leave The Clayton Chronicles and the future viability of Celestial Voices as a collaborative effort was in doubt. Out of creative boredom, Ron began working on some songs in his spare time. By November 2006 he had enough material for a full-length album and once again called upon Adam Matthews and Time Culver to help add some variety and creativity to the project. Adam and Tim are currently, as of December 26th 2006, preparing their contributions to this next Celestial Voices album called Paradigm. Paradigm should be released by April 2007.
