Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Castro are a punk/emo/rock 4 piece band from Newcastle. Castro began with Andrew, Adam, Micky and Paddy, we built up quite a fanbase throughout newcastle, gigging regularly all over the north east. We are most remembered for our antics on stage and we have been commented as a fun band to watch. Unfortunately, Paddy had to leave the band as he and his girlfriend were expecting a baby, so the lads put a post on a local music message board (www.insangel13.co.uk) for a singer songwriter. Jan applied for the band as a second guitarist and he soon joined them, now taking on the role as lead guitarist. Paddy later approached the band asking if we wanted to get back together, thus bringing the reformation of Castro!! But now micky has left so we are back down to missing another member. luckily we found the greatest drummer in the world, Connor. We have recorded our debut EP entitled 'Off The Hook' and we are already thinking about the album. We are gigging all over the North East, and looking to tour very soon.
