Carl Stewart
"Spiritual music with passion and purpose!"
I'm a 30-year music veteran with a private digital recording studio in central Florida. I've been doing primarily commercial work (jingles, film scores, artist tracks, etc.), but my first personal project is underway (see www.Dewfall.net).
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
See my bio at www.Dewfall.net.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
What I do in the studio can't be done live without a full orchestra, and I have no intention of touring with such a large group with the attendant myriad of details, headaches, personality conflicts, logistics, etc. However, I do forsee touring with a group of dancers and strong visuals.
Your musical influences
John Tesh, Yanni, Enya, Don Potter, Suzy Wills, Matthew Donovan, Joann McFatter, John Debney, Leonard Jones, and all of the MorningStar musicians. (Quite an eclectic group, eh?)
What equipment do you use?
My primary keyboard workstation is an Ensoniq SQ-2, which is connected via MIDI to various other keyboards and modules, including a couple of Emu Proteus modules which I find exhilarating. I record with Cakewalk software.
