Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Elmira, NY native, Curtis "CAPION" Poole, began his music career at an early age. The third child of 6 children, CAPION recited lyrics written by older brother, Brandon (DJ BrandNew). For hours on end, he would recite these rhymes with younger brother Rory. Although he was only 8 years old, he realized then, that he had discovered his love of music.
By age 14, CAPION began performing in talent shows and lyrical battles around town and one of his first concerts was held at Buffalo State University. It was here that he made the determination to make a career out of his talent.
Those who have heard CAPION flow know that he keeps it real and includes personal experiences and struggles as an up and coming MC. CAPION credits the streets for the many valuable lessons he's learned about life and himself. In his music, he speaks of what he knows and what he lives. His unique style and writing skills allow him to verbalize what others can only think.
Many upstate artists find it hard to break into the music industry, but CAPION's perseverance and dedication enables him to rise to the challenge as he prepares for his break-through. Are YOU ready?

i play live mostly in my home town elmira but have in bufalo,ithaca,binghampton,florida,penn state and a few more.
im performing alongside artist from 4th quarter records on feb 5th at sonoras restaurant in bath ny 9-til. on march 12th @ the v.f.w in elmira ny, holla!
