CandaceK was born in West Virginia but has lived in the DC Metro, the NYC metro, the Dayton, OH area, and in South Florida. A singer and songwriter since the tender age of 2, CandaceK pulls her style from a plethora of inspirations, ranging from Aretha Franklin and Etta James to Dinah Washington, Koko Taylor, and Muddy Waters. A true believer in being true to oneself, her heartfelt lyrics and soulful stylings capture her story, set to song. She is currently working full time as a web developer, but continues to pour out her emotions and create music that tells her story, one song at a time.

I've listened to everything from Aretha Franklin to Pink Floyd. I draw inspiration from all genres, and I think that is clear in my style. I don't like labels, so I can say I sound like CandaceK, inspired by the greats.What equipment do you use?
When I'm constructing my own tracks, I use ACID and a 4 track. I've been collabing in the studio lately, however.Admin
