Calwa Kings

UPDATE: Calwa Kings back in effect.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Calwa Kings was born in early 1996. The group has metamorphasised into a new and better collection of artists under the Bismillah Productions label. Started by Muqtadir, this group has gone from GANGSTA RAP, to G-FUNK, to RELIGIOUSLY CONCIOUS RAP. Members of this group have moved on, but the figurehead of this movement is still very active. The original producer, Bradley "Iron Chef" Christianson, was murdered in late 2003 in Calwa during a drug deal. After this tragic event, Muqtadir and Nemesis closed shop and let their tracks fade into obscurity. Then in March of 2004, Sheikh Spear came onto the scene and opened the door to a new collective group. Though the Calwa Kings perform as The Banner Project, they maintain their core values and continue to rep Calwa Kings. Muqtadir has a successful solo career that takes priority, but they continue emphasize Islam and religious values through their music. Through the efforts of Muqtadir and Sheikh Spear, and the help of Blessed Kid Entertainment, this band is ready to break onto the Muslim Rap scene like no other group has. Coming first is Muqtadir's "DAWN OF THE DEAD" EP, and then shall come a full MUQTADIR AND SHEIKH SPEAR PRESENT ... THE BLACK BANNER PROJECT. Some of the tracks are posted here, and some of the tracks on this page are exclusive to Soundclick, and will never be released through any other medium. The group is moving on strong, and the future looks bright!
