Buzz Forward and Space Boy
About Us
"Buzz Forward and Space Boy" is a studio-based male duet specializing in original “space music”, entertaining commercials and short stories. We combine rock, electronic, acoustic, jazz, and alternative with a splash of humor to make our sound stand out and appeal to a wide range of genre interests. Our “space” songs and other material feature original sound effects and Foley work.
Our premier music CD “All The Way From Outer Space” is a selection of eleven original BF&SB tunes that plays almost an hour. In addition to , a recent fast tempo tune with a timely message, there are five “space music”, two acoustic, two humorous and even a light jazz song . All BF&SB material is recorded and mastered completely in our modern studio.

Behind the Scenes
Cleveland, Ohio late 20th century. The band began forming in about 7th or 8th grade in the usual way, a bunch of adolescents in someone’s basement whooping it up. A mutual love of outer space adventure stories, humor and rock-n-roll eventually separated us from the others. What made it interesting was that we are exactly alike in some ways but totally opposite in others.
We both knew all the Bill Cosby albums by heart and were addicted to Star Trek. On the other hand, one was influenced by Yes, Pink Floyd and Sting while the other grooved to Hendrix, Rush and Zappa. One knew the Herb Alpert songs and learned Classical Gas while the other was into Captain Beyond and writing adventure stories. One went on to college and became an electrical engineer; the other went in the US Marines and then into the medical field. One got married, one stayed single, and then it reversed. One was Lutheran, the other Catholic, one tall, the other short, one skinny, one, well, you get the picture.
It all gelled when the Arp Odyssey came on the scene and we seriously began creating “Space Music” our blend of electric guitar and electronic sounds. We named the band Buzz Forward and Space Boy and started assuming different cosmic identities as we played. Our music today is the result of many years of recording jams, editing out the good stuff and then making more. We now have a semi-professional digital recording studio and do all our own stuff. One of us even went to Recording School, and the other finally got compressed!
Remember, 99% of the sounds we present were made exclusively by us.
