buz

A mix of different electronic styles all mended together to form one distinct sound. From breakbeats to IDM, ambient to trip hop, they're all bound together with a dark & jazzy effect.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Over the past few years, electronic music has been evolving into more and more sub-genres, causing artists to stick to a certain style. With the rise of software synths, and software-based drum machines, electronic music has been becoming more computerized instead of humanized. The availability of loops have even caused artists to construct songs instead of creating them. Buz takes the whole electronic concept portrays it how it was originally. All tracks are recorded & performed live with hardware. Most electronic producers depend on their software to create their music, whereas Buz depends on the use of keyboards and 20+ years of piano training, causing the tracks to sound like a human as opposed to a computer. The latest Buz release explores different sub-genres by going from one style to the next, hence the name, Shapeshifter. Being an accomplished keyboardist, the human element of the music remains. You can here this in many tracks where there are improvised piano solos as well as bass lines performed live. This album contains many influences from jazz pianists such as Thelonious Monk, to classical composers with the likes of Frederic Chopin. With the boom of electronic producers within the past 5 years, Buz still remains unique in sound, style and performance.
