Butch McGrath
Thanks for stopping by. I'm not really looking for a record deal or anything like that. I think it would be great if someone liked my songs enough to record one though. Music has been a huge part of my life for as longs as I can remember. I just started writing songs in the fall of 2003. It got started after reading the rules to be a contestant on Nashville Star. It said that you have to have at least one original song that you have written or co-written. At the time I hadn't written a single song. Then one night the song " Too Much, Too Little, Too Late" just started coming to me and within 2 hours, I had my first song. All the songs I've written took 2 hours or less. If anyone has tips or pointers on my songwriting, feel free to leave me a message. All comments will be appreciated.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I've only played live a couple of time and that was just a bunch of friends getting together for a Saturday night party kind of thing. Oh, I also played at my sister's wedding, if that counts.
Your musical influences
My musical influences stretch from one side of country music to the other. Randy Travis, Conway Twitty, George Jones, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, John Michael Montgomery.....etc. I'd like to keep my songs as traditional as possible.
