BUSHHOUNDS a true hard working American Rock n Roll Band! The Bushhounds traveling across America, playing their uniqe brand of Hard Rocking, Southern Flavored,Kick Ass music! Their live performances have been described as a High Energy,Power packed performance of Great rock songs with a Southern Rock Attitude! Also described as a Aerosmith meets Lynyrd Skynyrd with a touch of Guns N Roses band! The Bushhounds have toured the nation opening for many national artists such as LYNYRD SKYNYRD, ZZ.TOP, 38 SPECIAL, MOLLY HATCHET, MARSHALL TUCKER, SOUTHERN ROCK ALLSTARS, MOTLEY CRUE, FIREHOUSE, RATT, GREAT WHITE, SEBASTIAN BACH, ROXX GANG, CHEAP TRICK, NAZARETH, STEPPENWOLF, DR.HOOK, PAT TRAVERS, CLASSIC ROCK ALLSTARS, as well as many more!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
BUSHHOUNDS formed in 1995 in Largo FLorida! The band played many local bars, partys, festivals, ect. The band then went into Panda Studios & recorded a demo"Bushhounds" with 10 songs that they pushed at shows, and to get more gigs! After a few lineup changes & many many local appearances, the Bushhounds landed their first National opening gig at Jannus Landing in St.Petersburg, Florida opening for The Marshall Tucker Band! After a taste of big crowds the Bushhounds just kept Pushing!
The band signed a deal with a local label, and recorded & released "Long Road" C.D ! The whole time landing many national opening spots, as well as local club dates! One of these concerts the band caught the attention of Artimus Pyle, drummer for the Legendary LYNYRD SKYNYRD! Artimus invited the band to do a support tour wich took the band up & down the East Coast of the United States. It was definitely a highlight in the Bushhounds Career.
When the band was on that tour they caught the attention of Michael "Big Lou"Lewis (Lynyrd Skynyrds management for 18 years) & Steve Wrench (former Vice President of marketing and sales for R.C.A records). The Bushhounds signed a artist development/management deal with Lou-Do Music and immediately went into world renowned Retrophonics studios in St.Augustine, Florida to record BUSHHOUNDS first national release! Veteran producer Jimmy Devito ( Creed, Don Henley, Tom Petty, Sister Hazel, Limp Bizkit, U2,ect ect) recruited Charlie Hargrett (Blackfoot guitarist) to come in and help arrange & produce the C.D! The new C.D should be available in the winter of 2002!

Bushhounds play all over the United States! Toured with many National Acts! Band Highlight:Performing at the Largest venue in our Home Town, The ICE PALACE opening for 38 Special in TAMPA FLORIDA!

Bushhounds have many musical influences from Hard Rock, Metal,Southern rock,to 70's, 80's Rock! Kiss, Aerosmith,Lynyrd Skynyrd,Bon Jovi,Molly Hatchet,and almost any and every rock band that was ever on the radio!
