Buck Naked and the Xhibitionists (BNX) is a five-piece, veteran group featuring the powerful vocals of Al Holland of the Platters. We play music from across the board R&B, Traditional Jazz, Fusion Jazz, Blues, Classic Rock any music where we find a feeling.
As a popular waterfront house band, weve developed a large repertoire of music. Weve also been able to turn a large, virtually empty waterfront venue into the hottest spot in SW Florida every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Our success has allowed us the opportunity to headline our areas top musical events: the Waterfront Music Festival (attendance 7,000+) and our Downtown Block Party (where our downtown closes for 24 hours and puts on a 4-stage music festival attended by over 30,000) and headline all of the major fundraising events.
Band/artist history
The Lineup
Allen Holland (Detroit - Lead Vocals)
Al has sung professionally around the world as a member of the Platters and nationally as a member fo the show band Attraction. Trained in classical music, Al has also performed with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, The Highland Park Chamber Orchestra and The Windsor (Ontario) Symphony. We call him Big Al (refer to photos!) and he is the newest addition to our line-up. Al has played all over this continent and in Europe, the Orient and at the 1996 Olympics closing ceremonies. Al sat in with us during one of our festival concerts and electrified the crowd of 7,000+. Wondering if that was a one-time lucky night or if we really had something special, we invited Al up at our next festival appearance (30,000+). Standing O. Weve worked out the details and Al is now fronting our house gig where he lights it up every night. He is a pleasure to work with and an even greater joy to hear.
Tim Goodman (Pittsburgh - Keyboards, Flute, Keyboard Breath-Controlled Horns)
Tim is a masterful keyboardist that grew up in a family of professional musicians playing together as Freed from 1973 - 1993. His mom led the 4500 song repertoire show band that toured internationally for 20 years Tim played multiple instruments, sang lead and backup and wrote the shows and arrangements for their four to ten piece show bands. He has played with Lou Rawls, world-renowned jazz trombonist Harold Betters, two seasons with the Pittsburgh Steeler Jazz Ensemble and as a session player at Minot Recording Studios in White Plains, New York and Sorcerer Studios in New York City. Tim was my first selection in forming the band I knew he would attract the other professionals I would need to put this band together. He is the consummate professional on and off stage and plays all the flavors of music - remarkably.
Bill Hill (New York - Bass)
Bill is a retired Air Force Master Sergeant whos played everything from funk to fusion to jazz to rock and country with the Air Force Band. He has played in intimate jazz clubs and to crowds of over 50,000. Bill played and arranged for Brian Hyland and for bands that have opened for Tower of Power, Little Feat and New Riders of the Purple Sage. Before moving to Florida from California in 1998, his band Acoustic Connection was a finalist on the Charlie Daniels Talent Roundup TV Show on TNN. Bill recently returned from a tour of Japan as bass player for the Platters. If you come to SW Florida and ask who the top bass player is, theyll tell you its Bill Hill! He and our drummer Loren Berry work together so well theyre like one guy (except they demand two checks...).
Loren Berry (St. Louis - Drums, just drums)
Loren Berry has been playing professionally since he was 15 years old (about 80 years). He has played for Asleep at the Wheel, Chill Factor and the Pat Hand Band. Primarily, however, he was an extremely popular session player in St. Louis until moving to Florida in 1991. In a very short time, he assumed that same role in this area. No matter what material we do ballads to fusion Loren finds the groove that makes playing with (and listening to) this band so much fun. Lorens commitment to BNX is demonstrated in his driving 100 miles roundtrip every night we do our house gig - 3 nights a week - since he joined up over two years ago.
Jim Huden (Seattle - Guitar)
Ive played with some great bands (Beatles, Stones etc.) records in the privacy of my home for over 35 years. In the past 25 years, Ive created and sold businesses that were successful due to an ability to identify and secure talented, reliable people. Ive applied that same success blueprint to the formation of BNX. This band looks good on paper and sounds even better onstage. This band shows up ready to play every night we look forward to sharing our experience with you and/or your clients.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We hold a house gig at a very upscale room in our area. We play the major fundraisers and concerts as well.

QSJ Radio is the new home for underground artists. Just like all other radio stations, we have new exclusives, call in requests, and in-depth interviews with the artists; but unlike every other station you may have heard of, we allow for brand new underground artists to be heard. This is a chance for you to get heard by many people. I would like for you to submit some of your music (if you are willing) so that you can be heard by many. This is all free of charge and is a chance to gain exposure. If you need more information contact me on myspace at www.myspace.com/qsjproductions or you can send an email at trafficqsj@aol.com.
Happy Halloween Y'all... hope youre spending it in warm PC like myself.
Super instrumentation. Best of luck with your music.
This is so cool!!! I played 634-5789 first thing this morning. I even got up and danced. What a great idea! I love you guys so much, you are part of our family. We will probably be down next weekend to the BW, we are busy this weekend with my parents. I sure do hope that you get more gigs up in the Sarasota area. We really enjoyed it, even when Al asked me to sing "A Romeo and Juliet" that was long overdue, even if I did make you guys look bad. LOL. Would love to hear some input from the night at Coasters. We were there the other night and filled out a card. Well, enough for now. Look forward to seeing you soon. Betty and Carl
