Band/artist history
BROTHER STONE:
Was formed in Burnside KY. In 2000. The band started producing original material and undeniable Rock and Roll. Playing festivals and clubs, and
Scoring opening slots for such acts as: Black oak Arkansas, Exile, and Goose Creek Symphony, with the desire to entertain the crowd with an uncontrollable enthusiastic energy.
In 2001, the band completed their first full length compilation entitled, "Pit Bull Rock and Roll," which evolved into the bands original sound", enticing listeners and selling numerous copies, building a loyal fan base.
The history of the band goes back to 1994 before they evolved. Guitarist Bryan Tolley bumped into Daniel Mills at a local music store. They started chatting about music, and the question was raised to the surface, "Do you know any bass players? Bryan knew of one, his longtime friend Matt Vanhook. Daniel and Matt formed a band named "Wish".
At the time Wish was doing their thing, and Bryan was playing in a heavy metal group "Zero Zero". They kept close range playing shows, hanging out and jamming together. This went on for a few years, trying to gain recognition. The two bands came to an end late "99". It was ironic; both of the bands would break up only a few months apart. This left the boys musically hungry, and the search for the right musical mate. Since they all shared the same ambitions and remained friends, they added Billy Moistener. The group was complete and BROTHER STONE was born.
The group went right to work, rehearsing four days a week. Playing gigs anywhere they could be recognized. Things were moving smoothly for BROTHER STONE, the hopes, dreams and the music. Then out of nowhere the departure of the drummer, left the boys high and dry. For the next few months, they performed acoustically at their gigs. Giving up was the last thing on their minds. Luckily they ran into Mike Stevens a hard hitting, technical drummer. It only took one rehearsal, that they knew he was the one.
After six weeks of working on new songs with Mike, the band recorded a live demo in Nashville. Working on their second album the band inspires to continue the legacy of: BROTHER STONE!
