Well currently it's me (Owen Hayward) and my guitar, but I am working on some stuff with zao (UK) otherwise known as Andy Balls. We are looking at a number of possibility's for future collaboration including a few other guys but currently we're keeing things very simple.Band/artist history
Well, I've been making music with various people since the tender age of ten but I guess in this incarnation I started writing and working on material and pursuing the idea of brokenkings after leaving music college in the summer of 2003. Although it's been a while and I haven't achieved that much musically I've been a busy boy getting married and teaching guitar.Have you performed in front of an audience?I'm currently just working on material to get it to a suitable place for performance, but I do the occasional acoustic set here and there. A highlight of my live career was having a resident slot in cafe' repose at soul survivor a few summer's back
Your musical influences
There are many bands that I am into but would not necessarily say I'm influenced by, butI guess my taste may give an indication of what my musical creations may be like.
I'm into anything that has a good groove and meaningfull lyrics. I listen to :
Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay, Muse, Incubus, [dweeb], Delirious, Switchfoot, Jaga Jazzist, sigur ros, Jeff Buckley.What equipment do you use?
Martin 0016GT (acoustic), Takamine EG510sc (acoustic), Fender 1972 thinline tele (electric), Traynor YCV40 (valve amp), Tubetech GTH custom (a lovely total one off, yes one off! handbuilt valve amp)Anything else?
