Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started getting into electronic gear in 1993, but really began with my own set-up in '95.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I used to play live. It's been a long time, but I want to do it again, especially with the newer set-up.
Your musical influences
I make a variety of music, but lately it's been nu skool beats and jungle/drum'n'bass. I spend alot of time honing the rhythm, striving for a groove that is constantly changing yet sounding uncontrived. I am influenced by the earlier jungle/d'n'b and by old and new hip-hop and electro.
Cabalistic principles have been inspirational and my work could be described as deconstructionist appropriation, but often, it's just groovy!
What equipment do you use?
Yamaha AW4416, Akai MPC2000, Roland JP-8080, Korg O1w/fd.
