The Bridge Between is a Christian Rock Band headquartered in Gadsden Alabama. We are available for all types of Christian venues. We are a five piece band consisting of Mike Garmon - Lead vocal, Vickie Garmon - lead & backup vocal, keyboards, Johnny Adams - lead & backup vocal, guitar, Tony Chapman - bass guitar, & Mark Stringfellow - Vocal & drums. The Bridge Between members combined represent over 150 years of seasoned professional musicianship. The main goal is to help bring people to know Christ through music.Band/artist history
The Bridge Between began a little over one year ago as the dream of Mike & Vickie Garmon. They had contacted Johnny Adams to work with them on a couple of occassions. The band finally came together after drummer Mark Stringfellow and bassist Tony Chapman joined the group in the Spring of 2005. Since then the group has played many Christian venues in the NE Alabama region that includes outdoor concerts as well as Praise & Worship sessions at churches in the area. Mike & Vickie were founding members of Tin Pan Alley, a popular rock band from the 70's, 80's, & 90's in the Gadsden area. They worked and toured the entire Southeast for many years performing through Southeastern Attractions as one of the premiere groups back in the day. Johnny Adams has been playing guitar and singing in local groups for over 30 years, including sharing the stage with secular groups such as Atlanta Rhythm Section, The Grass Roots, Rick Trevino, Southern Pacific, Condederate Railroad, Johnny Paycheck and others. Mark Stringfellow, a seasoned veteran on the drums, has played with some great bands from the area over the years and has shared the stage with artists such as Tim McGraw, Confederate Railroad, Kenny Chesney, Trisha Yearwood, Neal McCoy, and others. Tony Chapman is probably the purest of the bunch. Tony is a veteran of Gospel and Christian music and has always played the church scene, playing many many venues across NE Alabama. The blend of these musicians must have been pooled together by devine intervention.Have you performed in front of an audience?We play Christian events.
Your musical influences
Our Christian musical influences are groups such as Third Day, Mercy Me, and Big Daddy Weave. We all have secular influences also, because of their God given talents. Groups like the Allman Brothers and other Southern Rock groups had a huge impact on the music. Even though our original music shows hints of Allman Bros. and a little Southern rock flavor, you can also hear a little Rhythm and Blues and even a hint of Country intertwined in the music.What equipment do you use?
Keyboards are Yamaha and Korg. Johnny uses Traynor & Fender amps, also, Fender and Martin guitars. An assortment of pedals by Wampler Pedals, Boss, Ibanez, Seymour-Duncan, & Pro Co.
