Brett Clark
New CD to be available August of 2007.
Singer, songwriter Brett Clark has been involved with music in one way or another since he was a young boy. Growing up singing with the jukebox to Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell and many others in the tavern where he grew up, was where it all started. Although "Wichita Lineman" was his favorite song as a boy, he grew to admire the great Merle Haggard. Brett is a self taught drummer and guitarist from the age of 12. After drumming with a band in the early 90s, Brett decided to pick back up the guitar and start writing. After several songs were written over the years, Brett decided to start moving forward with his music. Brett's music is currently on radio stations throughout Europe, New Zealand, Sweden, Japan, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Australia, Norway, Denmark, France, and Texas. Thanks to all the DJs, and everyone for listening.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I have not played live as a singer/songwriter. My only live performances were when I was drumming with a band in California, back in the early 90s. With the help of some friends, we are getting my songs played in local clubs though.
Your musical influences
I have several. I am very diverse when it comes to music. I have alway's been a big fan of Merle Haggard, John Cougar Mellencamp, Journey, and I have alway's loved Lynard Skynard. Southern Rock seems to strike me more than anything, though I write mostly ballads.
What equipment do you use?
Breedlove Acoustic.
