"Brent B" or "Brent Vincent" started going to the clubs in 1990, later finding out about Raves in 1993. Exposing himslef to this nightlife style, Brent gained a strong passion for Dance music. As time went on- he jumped on the wagon, working for clubs. He learned how to run lighting, at which time he was at an upclose level with the dj, that influenced him and made him want to learn how to DJ. Brent started playing successfully in clubs in 1998. He has had held many residencies since, each lasting over 2+ years, at his peak holding 6 residencies in 1 week! Currently Brent is a Sales Manager at a car dealership, has a little family, holds down 1 Friday night residence at Club Sound aka Bricks aka The Venue in SLC, Utah (it's a different place every night of the week), as well as playing other paces in the city when invited. His main focus lately, is Production. He spends MINIMUM 25 hours/week working on music in which he PLANS to sale as he goes along. The material you will find here is material that is being worked on. He plans on releasing the finished products under the name "Star Sweeper", which can also be found on this website. Enjoy the unfinished tunes!
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I don't. I would like to encorporate live/dj into my set someday. At this time I have too many other things going on to be able to focus on that.
Your musical influences
I was born in 1974 and also the youngest in my family, so I grew up on music my mom/dad, older brother and sisters would listen to. From Depeche Mode, Yaz, Erasure, Neil Diamond, Kenny Rogers, Eddie Rabbit, Rick Springfield, Paula Abdul, Sonny and Cher, then of course the rock bands such as Ratt, ACDDC, Babylon, White Lion, etc.... I have been blessed to have such a wide variety in music. I got heavily into the remix projects from the 80s bands such as New Order, erasure, etc... which got me involved into Dance music where I discovered William Orbit, Moby, Kraftwerk. My modern day influences are- Kaskade, Deepswing/Eric Wilkman, Roger Sanchez, Marcus Schultz, Armin Vanburren, Soulseekerz, Carl Cox, Peter Rauhaufer, BT, etc.....
