Breaking Down

Breaking Down is a new rock band hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, bringing a fresh burst of life to the local music scene. Their combination of alternative music and soulful lyrics creates a musical mixture fit for all tastes. If a short phrase could be used to describe Breaking Down, it would be, “Energetic and captivating rock music.”

Lead vocalist and founder, Christine Ray, worked with guitarist Jacob Boyd as an acoustic act. They felt a strong need to grow musically so they added Richard Polmans on drums and Al McPherson on bass to complete the band. This collaborative chemistry has created a setting for success.

Breaking Down's accumulative members performed with national acts such as Seether, Lisa Loeb and Gin Blossoms lead guitarist Scott Johnson. In addition, the diverse background of each member of Breaking Down has introduced different flavors to their writing. Whether it was Polmans’ South African upbringing or Ray’s small town roots, the band has found a focal point in the music they create.
