A.M. Canon drums & vocals. Formed in the early 80's by Howie Haber, they were called "one of the more creative bands in their field" by The Island Ear in 1987. Breakaway specializes in Original Blues, Rock, & Boogie.
Doc Blues from the Long Island Blues Society reviewed their 2003 CD and said their songwriting "displays great maturity in expression". Recent happenings include making the Finals of the 2005 Long Island Music Festival, and the Finals of The 2005 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN..
