No problem, I like to help out as much as possible to other artists. I really dig your sound and your voice, just watch the pitch. I was letting one of our ex-band members listen to one of your songs last night, and he liked it. A good program to record on your computer with is Cool Edit Pro 2.0, they don't make it anymore, but you can find it on Kazaa. We use it.

Thanks a lot. I'd been wondering if the recording order was the problem. I'm going to start keeping copies of all my track data on my computer (or a CD). So if I don't like the levels, I can just upload it back to my track recorder and mix it all again. What I really need to do is get a recorder with more tracks on it, so I can keep it all separate until the final mix. Someday. :-) Anyway, I should have a couple more songs sometime this week. I'm getting a key to my church from my pastor, so I can go there to record drums at night when nobody's around. I'll also (eventually) remix some of the songs I already have, since I still have the track data for some of them. Thanks again for the advice.

Ok, I see, you're using a multi-track. If you have 4 avaliable tracks, you want to do your guitar first, make sure you use a metronome for that. Plug in some headphones (no monitor) and play your percussion against the guitar track to make sure they are in tempo with each other, record more than once if you have to. Next, record all your lead work. When you've got that finished, mix your lead/acoustic together on one track, keep in mind you can put as much lead as you want to with this. When that's finished, record the bass and then vocals. This way, you'll have seperate tracks for rythm/lead work (1 track) percussion/drums (1 track) bass (1 track) and vocals/harmonies (1 track). If you have harmonies, then don't do bass and record them and mix those with your vocals and wait for bass last. That is the way I started out recording, and it seems to work quite well for setting levels. What you don't want to get into is setting EQs on your final track because if you're trying

dloc - I'd mixed the tracks down before I realized the vocals were low. So I couldn't change it. I leave the bass loud because it's easier to drop the bass range out of a recording than it is to boost it. As for percussion... well, that's what I get when I don't use my digital metronome. Plus I'm just recently getting back into drumming. And thanks for listening.

Great voice, but watch the recording quality: The vocals are way too quiet and the bass is way too loud. The percussion is off at times. Are you recording on your computer? If so, try out a Soundblaster Audigy 2, that's what we use.

Hi Brandon. Thank you for listening to our music. It would be fine for you to sing the song at your youth group, in fact we would be honored. The song obviously is copyrighted, but feel free to perform it. Thanks, and God bless.
