Bradbury is the current project from former Oldmangrady vocalist Lee Modlin.Band/artist history
Lee decided to retire the Oldmangrady name and go in a poppier direction. He is currently the only member and plays guitar and piano.
This project is going to be fairly simple and that is by choice. I want to record a handful of songs with just me and guitar or piano. I need for it to be totally about the songs. I've been in bands and I enjoy playing really loud guitar-driven rock and roll but I want this to be much different. I want to see if some of my songs could stand alone with minimal production. I took my inspiration from guys like Michael Penn, Peter Case and George Huntley. My desire is to make intimate semi-acoustic music without any gimmicks. I hope that I have at least come close to achieving my goal.Have you performed in front of an audience?Not yet.
Your musical influences
Jeff Lynne and ELO are probably the biggest influence I have. I am a big fan of poppy guitar rock but I'm starting to explore my piano playing a little more these days.Anything else?
The songs here are boombox demos and are very low quality. I am currently making arrangements to produce better recordings. These demos are just so you can hear the basic song structures I'm working on.Contact
