March 16th, 2003:
Our last two shows were a lot of fun. CBs went really well - they have a great sound system, so everyone could hear Pam, which is always a plus.
Opening up for Wheatus and Gordo Gringo at the Elbow Room the next night was also cool. Both bands had a ton of gear and technology that they incorporated into their shows - ah, the benefits of major label support.
We'll be playing out again in late April/early May. Meanwhile we'll be writing new tunes, and eventually head into the studio to start production on an EP/album.
thanks for everyone's continued support,
Boss Motel
Old:
Boss Motel is tentatively scheduled to play on FRIDAY, MARCH 7th, at the Elbow Room. We will be opening up for Columbia Records' WHEATUS, who had that hit "Teenage Dirtbag" from a few years back.
We are also scheduled to play the night before, Thursday, March 6th, at MIDNIGHT, at CBGBs.
More details about both shows in a few weeks.
Thanks to all who listened to the new tunes. What did you think? Drop us a line if you get a chance.

Thanks to all who came to the show at the Elbow Room this past Thursday. Everyone seemed to be having a good time and we couldn't ask for anything more.
We were able to get a great live mix of the show directly from the Elbow Room soundboard. You can check out a few of the new tracks in the MUSIC section of our site.
In other news..
We will be spending much of February recording new tracks for... well... we're not sure... an album? a demo? We'll have to see. We've met some really cool producers since we've been here, people who see what we're trying to do musically, so we're excited about going into the studio and working closely with them.
Our next gig is scheduled for 11:30 pm on March 6th, a Thursday, at CBGBs. More later on that...
Thanks and we hope you enjoy the new tunes.

The Don Hill's show went pretty well. We played 5 songs cause Pam was just getting back from her 1-week vocal rest (i.e. not speaking for a week cause she strained her voice). So we were taking it a little easy, not playing any of the really fast loud stuff.
There was a large Asian contingency in the audience that night. They were grooving hard to the opener, Lovely Territory, and the anthemy ode to female self-pleasuring, I Do It Better Myself. This gave us lots of hope for a successful future tour of Japan.
All in all it was a fun night, although we did have a little trouble with the front door guy. He had great bangs and an even cooler leather smooth-boy cap. But his tasteful choice of grooming and accessorizing didn't prevent him from being a total dick. He refused to reimburse the $10 cover charge paid by Boss Motel band-aid Alix, after we forgot to present the "management" with a written (as opposed to oral) guest list.
Oh well, live and learn...
Have a great week, anyone who might happen to read this, and if you get a chance PLEASE come to our show on the 30th at the Elbow.

Boss Motel is playing two shows this month:
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 15th at DON HILL'S on the corner of Greenwich St and Spring.
THURSDAY, JANUARY 30th at the ELBOW ROOM on Bleecker between Thompson and Laguardia.
The band is ready to kick off the new year, so come join us!!!
RECENT NEWS:
This past weekend we played at the Bitter End in NYC. We debuted 8 new songs which we wrote while living in Torrington Connecticut for the past 3 months. They're faster, harder, and just plain rockin.
The response to the new tunes was incredible. Our sound and live show are coming together like never before. Pam is destined to become the next big voice in rock, as anyone at the Bitter End last Saturday could tell you.
Our next show will be our biggest yet. We're finally going to get to play on a big stage in a big room - perfect for our sound. The show is on Thursday December 12th at the Elbow Room, 144 Bleeker Street between Thompson and Laguardia.
We would love for you to be there.
Old Shit:
Hi. We're Boss Motel. We have three gentlemen and one lady in our rockin' teen combo. We play many styles of rock music including, but not limited to - punk, emo, indie, and hard country.
Our lineup is:
Pamela Quinn - vocals
Mike Cohen - guitar
Michael Berardino - bass
Andrew Baxter - drums
I think we sound like the Foo Fighters, with a little AC/DC. At our latest show, at the Bitter End in NYC, someone told us that we sound like Joan Jett and the Whoevers. Let's go with that.
We just moved to NYC from Connecticut. We moved to Connecticut after we were kicked out of our drummers' parents'house for rampant drug use and explicit sexual deviance.
With his grandparents.
We would love for you to like us. And tell us that you like us. You know why? Because playing in a band is fucking hard. Especially when you've got a million people, who don't know shit, telling you what they think you're doing wrong. And especially because there are a million other bands trying to do exactly the same things we're trying to do.
So if you like what you hear, write to us. Sign up for our email list. Come to our shows. You can even join our band if you can play guitar, keys, and sing (seriously... we're looking and will audition if you're in NYC).
Also if you're looking to help out a dedicated bunch of musicians in any way - fliering, promoting, helping us get gigs in Northeast - PLEASE let us know. Think of it as an investment - if we do well, and you help us, you'll be along for the ride.
thanks a lot for taking the time to visit our site. we hope you like our music and hope to see you at our shows.
sincerely,
Boss Motel
