Borderline

Borderline are a 4-piece post-hardcore/emo rock band based in Manchester. We can be compared to bands such as Thursday and Senses Fail, however we try not to categorise ourself into a certain genre of music as we take influence from all styles and genres. The music mixes nice mellow parts, with excellent guitar riffs, drumming and basslines, with a blend of aggressive and melodic singing. The band have a CD just out and are looking to spread their music all over the UK and are willing to gig in any destination.

Borderline was made out of the ashes of another band 'Borderline Insanity'. After they had done a number of gigs, they decided to change style of the vocals. After months of searching, a new singer was found and the band decided to drop the 'insanity' from the name, to become borderline, as it is now known. Borderline has a much more complete sound, with a much wider range of influences. With the new approach to the music, and with the experience gained previously, the band and the music has matured into a sound all the members are content with. The aim of the band is to get their music recognised and appreciated all over the UK.

We only play live! We have played in venues such as the Blackhorse Hotel (Salford), the roadhouse and the Night & Day (Manchester), the Alma (Bolton), The Little Civic (Wolverhampton). We are willing to play anywhere!

Our band listen to all styles of music from funk, jazz, hip-hop, drum&bass, alt metal, emo, pop-punk and hardcore, so we have influences on the music from every direction. We could be compared to bands such as Thursday, Senses Fail & Finch. The best way to describe the band is 4 lads playing music with mellow and metal bits with sum nice riffs,basslines and double pedal, with nice melodic singin and a touch of aggressive vocals, when put together creates borderline's unique sound.
