My name is Cachet AKA Esau, I've been doing this for a quick minute.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Esau's love for music began around the age of 14. He became obsessed with instruments and began to break down each instrument rhythm by rhythm. He quickly learned the sound that each instrument could make and the flavor that it brought when combined with other instruments.
In 1990, at the age of 19 Esau moved from Cocoa Beach, FL to West Palm Beach. South Florida's music scene was just beginning to unfold at that time and Cachet saw opportunity knocking.
With an open door in place awaiting his masterful skills. Cachet put a temporary hold on College and Corporate life. Cachet paused for what he knows will be his reality.
Esau does not join the music industry ignorant to what it is all about. He had debuted in various groups. But it was not until 1996 when Smoove Koncept was born. Smoove Koncept performed in South Florida's club world. Smoove Koncept rocked places like The Reggae Sun Splash. With unlimited talent they performed the National Anthem for the CBA team The West Palm "Beach Dogs" .Not to forget various cruise ships departing from South Florida.
Through hard work, Smoove Koncepts was signed to a label from Germany, Dur Music. Dur Music gave Smoove Koncepts a fresh start and a new identity, Kashmyr.
Kashymyr began working with various music industries Guru's like Warren Hill, the well-known jazz musician and Frank Myers and Gary Baker, Grammy award winners for "I Swear".
Kashmyr recorded the single "Love will be calling you home". Finally, a dream was manifesting into a reality. However, tragedy struck in 1998 Dur Music had decided to leave the music industry due to bad luck. A popular rapper was killed and soon after two solo artists were killed in a parking lot.
Dur Music decided to move to movie production. This decision left Kashmyr holding a musical bag of the future. Esau's dream was shattered but desire was still in his soul.
Esau decided that only he could make his dream come true. He put his plan into action and began purchasing production equipment piece by piece. This is where the inspiration for Boomtap came from. Esau's protégés J-schiano and Gerardino are products of his masterful skills and show great promise.
Esau definitely knows what is live, what is real and what is the future of music. All his plan lacks is a link to the big record companies. But Esau's determination will put him there.
