i've been writing for quite a few years now, (about 10 actually) but have only recently begun experimenting with recording/sharing my songs on a more than personal basis. i do all piano and vocals as well as my own recording and mixing. guitars are usually contributed by my brother dan*, who also offers technical help with the ins and outs of recording, since i'm only just learning. my songs are always an outworking of whatever challenges life has presented me with. as a result my songs often deal with struggles and hopes or searching questions, but usually are answered by the faith that is inextricably woven into my life. influences of artists like jennifer knapp, sarah mclachlan and michelle tumes are evident in my general sound. but i always enjoy trying to include some of the musical aspects from my main gig as a classical musician. this songwriter's history is still evolving, and i’ve never expected my writing to be for everyone. but if God decides to use it...wellall the better!

"If I Asked You" is very nice. You're vocals really capture the mood of the lyric. See you at the Grammys.................peace!
