Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
BombayRain is made up of seven musicians that have been profoundly influenced by Indian culture and music. The name BombayRain comes from a place that has formed in the minds of these musicians that have never been to India. They have become acquainted with the culture and philosophy through reading, studying the music, and having the opportunity to play with Indian musicians. The sitar is a major part of their sound, yet BombayRain pulls from many musical influences. They play instruments from Africa, Asia and Europe. Through their music they hope to play a small part in reaching across the seas to bring cultures together and to promote respect and understanding. They hope you enjoy their music.
