Retired from the company in 2011 after 38.94 years and I can't complain. I am now semi retired and concentrating on my fishing, boats, music, concerts, club dates, and the organizations that I belong to. I am also committed to helping the community and doing what I can for those in need.
A big thank you to Palouse Country Cowboy Poets Association, and the Western Music Association, they help me to help others. Thank you and God BlessBand/artist history
I have a 40+ years of playing in just about every venue that you can imagine.
I am now involved in promoting Cowboy Gatherings and Festivals drop me a line if you or your community is interested in having a cowboy gathering.Have you performed in front of an audience?I love all the venues that I play(honky tonks, clubs, BBQs parties). I now help host two radio shows on KRLC 1350AM Lewiston, Idaho, in the last few years I was asked to join the The Western Music Association. I love the Cowboy Gatherings and the Award shows. I am currently president of the Northwest Chapter of the WMA. I am also involved with the Polouse Cowboy poets and I am VP of that orgenization. I am also president of the Christian Cowboy Balladeers.
Your musical influences
I was 14 when I got my first guitar. Bob Dylan was an early study so was Berl Ives, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Luther Perkins, Chet Atkins, George Jones, Don Gibson, Ernest Tubb. I love rock-a-billy guitar & Chuck Berry riffs playing as well as some of the classical runs.My first love was and still is country & western music. What equipment do you use?
I perform acoustically when I am able. I love the raw sound with no other musicians or sound to distract from the artists own presentation. I also love the electronica of playing full out in a honky tonk with my toys to a dance crowd. I use harmonizers, minidisks, I play my parts live (vocals, guitar, harmonica). I also perform with a five piece band when the money is there.Anything else?
Plan to attend a Cowboy Gathering in your area. Log on to Cowboy Poetry in your search engine. Come to the awards if you like western music. Log on to Western Music Association or on to www.cowboypoetry.com for more info.scott n jake's station
