Band/artist history
Over the years, Bob has performed nearly every genre of music--from hard hitting Rock n' Roll to soothing acoustic solos; from down home Country songs to sensitive ballads, but it,s playing the blues, that is his real passion
His exceptional talent has afforded him many opportunities to play with some nationally known performers....Eric Sardinas, Tab Beniot, John Mayall, Coco Montoya, Kenny Neal, Mike Morgan, Junior Wells, Bernard Allison, just to name a few. Bob, along with his talented sons, Nick & Tony, have also had the privilege to open shows for Johnny Winter, Delbert McClinton, Tinsley Ellis, Bo Ramsey, James Solberg, Sonia Dada, & Pat Boyak and The Prowlers.
A talented songwriter, Bob's original song "Gospel Blues" has gained much local notoriety, and was named "The Best Song by a Local Artist" by City View magazine. Bob released a new CD in April 2006 entitled "Six String Soul Vol. 1". It's a collection of original instrumental blues--some are influenced by other genres...Surf, Country, Rock, Swing.
When asked what has given him the most pleasure over the years in terms of playing the guitar, Bob responded that his five year association with his church ensemble, has been the most fulfilling.
Bob has been featured in many written publications such as; Blues Revue (See "In The News" page to read the article), The Datebook, City View Magazine, and the Iowa State Newsletter.
