Bob Fuzz
Acclaimed singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Bob Fuzz today announced his future plans at a press conference hosted by record label Fuzz Records. The program included a heartfelt speech by Fuzz, in which he laid out plans for the release of a brand new album later this year. “This album will be something completely unique for Bob Fuzz,†the artist said, “a journey through world music, a concept album that explores different cultures within a consistent story arc.†Accompanying the album will be a book, written by Bob Fuzz and illustrated by artist Fredrik RydÃn, who worked with Bob Fuzz on album art on numerous occasions. “The book will be another thing never done before by Bob Fuzz. It will flesh out the story of the album and provide a back story. Together, both works will make up the whole story.
While the album’s name remains a secret, Fuzz did announce the creation of ‘the Bob Fuzz Band’, for the purpose of creating the album. “For an album this complex, and with the live performances I’m planning, it felt like the right move to move from a one man-project and assemble a band.†The band members were introduced on the stage at the event, to loud applauses. Veteran musician Dilly Repo, an old friend of Fuzz’, will provide drums and percussion, Fill Fuzz, Bob Fuzz’s brother, who previously collaborated on song like ‘House of the Rising Sun’ and ‘Naturkontraktet’, will play rhythm guitar, and on bass is hot newcomer Prozac Jones. “All three musicians I know well and have worked with in the past. I’m proud to have them on board in the new band and I’m looking forward to working with them on this new project.†Bob Fuzz also had some calming words for his longtime fans: “And don’t worry, it will still be my own personal music. I will still play most instruments, write the songs, and produce the album. So if you think Bob Fuzz is gone, you’re wrong. I’m just broadening my horizons and collaborating with other skilled musicians.
The event ended with Bob Fuzz presenting the band with his complete discography, in order to let them understand the Bob Fuzz sound for the studio sessions, which are slated to begin later this summer. In his closing words, the great musician had a special message for his fans: “I know it’s been two years since my last album, and I know the wait has been hard, but it will be worth it. This one is gonna be really special, so hang in there! Stay alternative!â€

Some sad news to begin with, as my Live CD/Greatest Hits "Live in New York" has been cancelled/postponed/put on ice for the moment. I'm sad to make this decision but losing interest in my old material and booking/flight issues in New York made it almost impossible to release this album now. Maybe some time in the future it will be arranged, but don't count on it. If you were invited to the concert, I'm sorry. However it's not all bad as I decided to release the new song I created for this album as a single, and for free!
And beat this: The song is in the music section RIGHT NOW! That's right, you can go listen to the new song NOW! That's gotta make you feel a little bit better about the album being cancelled I hope.
About the future, I truly don't know. I don't feel any creative spark for a new album, but you never know. As I wrote before, it will definetely come out next year, and it will be something completely different, something that will blow you away. More than that I can't tell you because I don't know. Nothing is recorded yet.
Until next time, listen to Mot Uppgivenhet, give feedback, and take care!

to buy the new EP!
And remember, Prunkade Desillusionering and the line of merchandise at !
- 10 August 2007
Hello everyone, how has it been? A lot has happened since I last wrote here, and I will adress them all accordingly.
First, let me show you the new line of merchandise from Frysmongo Productions. There's all sorts of things, two t-shirts, pins, stickers, caps and much more. I myself can't wait to get my hands on this stuff, and my fans cant wait either! Finally there is official Bob Fuzz gear! Head on over to NOW, and get your own stuff!
Now, let me tell you what's been going on. Last year the new album was released, renamed Reinkarnation in the last minute. It was a good album, with a few really good songs, but it wasnt quite what I had exprected. Therefore I made the decision not to publish it here on soundclick. Of you were waiting for it to be relased here, I'm sorry. Maybe in the future some of the better songs will be published here. After the project I lost some of my faith in my music and I had to take break to think.
A few months ago, Bob Fuzz came back into play after almost one year, when the label Fuzz Records together with media company Frysmongo Productions decided to release the hit album Prukande Desillusionering worldwide! The cover art was remastered, and the booklet now includes an interview with me, and some of the first pictures of me taken for over 5 years. I am really excited to bring my music to a new audience. Hop on over to to pick up your copy today.
The brand new release is sometihng to be hyped about as well. an EP with new material called When I was 12. When I was 12 was a song I made for a new album, and it got a really good response form the people I played it to. In fact the response was so good I wanted to publish it. Another idea I had was to give my fans a slice of what Bob Fuzz does in the studio. So on my computer I had some unfinished songs from my studio sessions. With this I decided to make an EP. It contains the great song When I was 12, and sometinhg I called Sudio Mix '07 that contains 3 unfinished tracks, a great chance to hear Bob Fuzz in the studio. This EP will soon be available to buy as well. And for you soundclick fans, the song is now up here as well, head on over to the music section and enjoy!
What about the future? Well, I'm pleased to present Live in New York: The best of Bob Fuzz. Together with Fuzz records I decided it was time for a greatest hits album, but I also wanted to record a live album! So I will have a concert with all the greatest songs and record it live, then release it worldwide. I'm psyched for the project, so stay tuned.
Next album, people ask me. Currently, there is no material for a new album, and no idea floating around, but when everything is done with the EP and the live album, I will definetely go back into the studio and record a whole album full of new material, I promise you that. You just gotta have some patience my friends!
Take care fans, listen to the brand new song, buy the EP, enjoy true alternative music.
Regards,
Bob Fuzz

The next Bob Fuzz album - "Att Leva Att DÃ Att Ãta" is nearly finished. I've had two separate studio sessions, one two months ago and one about 3 weeks ago, and altogether I have 12 songs finished. All of the songs will not make it onto the album as I want to keep a balance between experimental tracks and "real" songs, and maybe a few new songs will be produced as well. Maybe the scrapped songs will make it onto the next "De Outgivna LÃtarna" album!? Who knows!?
Here are some of the tentative song titles for the new release:
Moment of Silence
Uutiset Korv
Myrkott
Min Ideolgi
Pitya Carpo
Reinkarnation
Work on my black metal release "Blood of the Chosen" has been postponed indefinetely. The two guys I asjed to record guitar bits for me (I dont have an electric guitar) didn't do it and I got tired of waiting for these two useless human beings to do what they promised.
There are plans for a "Greatest Hits" release with the best Bob Fuzz songs from previous releases and maybe some new material as well. The thought behind this is that a lot of people have not heard some of the old material that is not avaliable on this website, and this would be a
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I was always interested in music you know, and one day I just sat down and played my guitar, and a song just took shape. It's funny how that happens sometimes, it just came to me. So I wrote the lyrics down and recorded the guitar part, the piano and the harmonica. Finally I sang all the vocals and I had my first song, Torsken (The Codfish). My next song, Robin Hood, was a pretty easy choice really, I wanted to tell the story of Robin Hood and his merry men. So it was an interesting story, and it was also a song I used on my live repertoire for many years prior to recording it. So those two songs became my first independent release, De Gyllene Ãren. I did a photo shoot with my talented brother holding the camera, and I had an album. It was very successful on a local level, but I wanted to stay alternative.
So i decided for my next release I wanted to just take everything I had created with De Gyllene Ãren and just turn it upside down. So that's the major reason I decided to start playing the music of the native population in northern Sweden. It's something that has always fascinated me, it's a very special tradtition that they have and I wanted to be a part of it. So I basically just sat down and recorded four great songs heavily influenced by the nothern Swedish tradition. The Album was named Bob Fuzz Goes Joking, and I did another photoshoot where I was decked out in traditional northern Swedish clothes.I released a song called Vindens Viskning as a single. My goal with Bob Fuzz Goes Jojking was never to repeat the success I had with De Gyllene Ãren. I wanted to stay different and do my own thing. So when people told me my album was way too weird and too different from my debut, I didn't care much. I had done what I wanted to do with my music.
After that I wanted to go back to the classic Swedish music that I grew up with, So I started working on an album I wanted to call SommardrÃmmar, summer dreams. I recorded two of the most popular Swedish summer songs, Idas Sommarvisa and Den Blomstertid Nu Kommer. However, due to various personal reasons, the album was never finished. I lost touch with my music and it felt wrong to keep working on the album without the motivation I needed.
Then, one summer I was hiking in the mountains in the north of Sweden, and my motivation just came back to me. Of course I had no instruments with me, but I knew that I wanted to start creating music again when I came home. But I wanted it to be completely different from everything I had done before. So I planned a techno release that I would have called Bob Fuzz Goes Techno. I created one song for the album, Bob Fuzz in Da House. However, I didn't like the sound of my new music, and while I could have released it as a single, and was urged by many of my hardcore fans to do so, it felt wrong to release something I wasn't entirely comfortable with. So along with the two songs of SommardrÃmmar, Bob Fuzz Goes Techno was put on the shelf.
At this time I got some new publicity when I recorded a music video for Idas Sommarvisa. I did it with my brother and a friend of his filming, and the concept was to show the happiness of summer. At this point I had some loose plans on possibly finishing and releasing SommardrÃmmar, but I never did. But the Music Video and single Idas Sommarvisa were very popular and we had a great time filming.
A few years later I recorded another new song, Gummibollen (The Rubber Ball), an uptempo poppish song with lyrics written by me and based on a theme from popular old school computer game Sim City 2000 from Maxis. I was listening to the soundtrack and I found one melody especially intriguing. So I quickly wrote some lyrics and recorded vocals and the song was finished. So that was a song I was really happy with but I was only done for fun and for live playings (Belive it or not but I still did live gigs at this point).
Then, six months or so ago, in 2005 I realized I hadn't made an album in well over five years, I had all this unreleased material lying around that many of my fans had never heard, and there were many people wanting a new release from me. So while I didn't feel motivated to start working on new material, I decided to give the fans what they wanted and release all these unreleased songs on a collection album that I decided to call Bob Fuzz - De Outgina LÃtarna (Bob Fuzz - The Unreleased Songs). I took the two songs on SommardrÃmmar, Bob Fuzz in Da House and Gummibollen and put them on the new album. I also included a rare instrumental version of the first song I ever created, Torsken. I thought the fans deserved to hear it as my vocals greatly overshadow the actual tunes in the original release. The cover art for the new album I did myself, and it's a drawing of me. I wanted it to be different from th two previous albums, to reflect that this was merely a collectors' album and not a new release. De Outgivna LÃtarna vas a great success, and along with it there was also a reprint of my two previous albums which was very successful.
So all these people had all my songs, and i thought what better time to start working on new material? So after many years I decided to start writing new songs again, and I greated Lightstorm, which became a very different album in many ways. It was a very experimental album, very different from what I did in the past. But in the end I liked the esult very much.
Then, about a year later I did what I always seem to do, I took everythng about Lightstorm and threw it out the window! I remembered why I ahd turned to music in the first place, to be a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. I quite using the computer and concentrated on guitar and piano. I made the noew classic album Prunkande Desillusionering. It was longer than any other album I'd made, and it took months to finish.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I've done local gigs here in Sweden, It's always fun to meet your fans, the energy is just amazing. I love everything about it.
Your musical influences
When I create music, I create it out of my mind, and my influences come from everywhere. A song idea can come to me when I'm out walking or while I'm sleeping. Sometimes it's the other way around, I get in the studio without a clear idea and just let my mind create something. I can't name any particualar artists that inspire me, but all music I hear does. My mind is a giant blender where all good ideas are mixed.
What equipment do you use?
If course I use the computer a lot, it's the centerpiece of my studio. It's great for arranging sounds and make songs. In the beginning I tried to keep in simple but nowadays I like using all sorts of intruments. My acoustic guitar is important, and I have an electric one as well. My keyboard is great becuase it enables the use of many instruments like stirng,s trumpets, piano etc. Harmonica is always fun, and so is kazoo and flute. For drums I like to use different percussion, stuff that I find around the studio.
Anything else?
Not really, I just hope you all listen and appreciate my music for what it is, true alternative!
