Bobby Torres
Bobby Torres is a hardrock singer/songwriter who's
voice is perfect for the style. He's played backup
for some nationals and has played in more than a
few bands. Now solo, he's recruited some great musician friends to collaborate on some hard hitting tunes.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Bobby Torres is a singer/songwriter, who's style is diverse ( pop/rock/hardrock ). He's played
in several bands in the New England, New York area and has also played along side a diverse
range of acts. Such as Michael Bolton on one end, to bands like Twisted Sister and Fate's
Warning on the other. His vocal ability ranges from soft mild whispers to a pure, raw,
thunderous force.
While writing songs with bands he was in, he was also working on solo material.
The songs here are the result of just such collaborations. Three are available on DMR Records
"Browser Barbarians" comp. " Wings of Flame " and " Rise " feature Jim Donnini on guitar,
Rob (Red) Cratella on bass, Carlo Zazzarino on drums and Bobby Torres on vocals.
The songs " You " and " Sands Of Time" feature John McCarthy on guitar, Steve Gorinberg
on bass, Carlo Zazzerino on drums and Torres on vocals. Another song " The Awakening "
( not on the demo ) is available on Metal Blade Records "Metal Massacre" comp. The latest
addition to the demo "Sands of Time" has not yet been released. Together with fellow
musicians from "Tower17" (John McCarthy, Carlo and Bobby Brown) they were able to
produce music that enabled them the freedom to create in a relaxed atmosphere. All the songs
were recorded in a home multitrack studio also equipped with the latest versions of the most
popular pro-audio software.
