Blue Planet is good, a blues band with more. Based in Bakersfield, CA. Blue Planet started up in October of 2002, and has rapidly gained recognition as a band with a unique style. Blue Planet has received high praise from their peers and blues aficionados alike. If you had a chance to hear this group open for “Lover boy” or “Joe Louis Walker”, then your day ended a couple of notches higher than expected. Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
When we, Kim Shropshire (drums), Bryan Santiago (bass), Mike Blackman (guitar) and Jason Badgley (keys), got together for a jam session back in 2002 we knew it would be a fun session. But, what took place that night was more than fun. It was self-discovery of the dream. By the end of the session it was obvious, We have to take this wherever it leads us and with that Blue Planet was born.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We play live all the time. Concerts, clubs, cafes Private functions and more. Mainly California, but we will go just about anywhere if the conditions are right. And, we just don't like it . . . we love it. It's magic and real special every time we play.

The Blues, Rock, Funk, Jazz, Latin, Country, Classical and oh yeah . . . The Blues.
