I spent many years playing blues guitar in bands at the semi-pro level, weekend gigs in clubs mostly. Finally got sick of trying to keep part time bands together and decided to do my own thing for a while. I do guitar instrumentals, mostly blues, but also stuff along the lines of something Santana might do. for details, or go to my CDBaby site, .
Band/artist history
Last real band I was in broke up around '95, been doing the solo recording thing for the last couple of years. Lately I have also been collaborating with other indie musicians via the internet; I work on their projects and they work on mine.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Not any more. I used to love it, nothing like the buzz you get from playing in front of an audience. I will most likely go that route again someday, but for now I am having too much fun doing the solo recording thing.
Your musical influences
Ronnie Earl, Santana, Otis Rush, Albert King, Clapton, Johnny Winter, Robben Ford, Magic Sam. Lots of other guys over the years. I am more into guys that have good feel than guys that have great technique.
What equipment do you use?
Fender Strat, PRS CE22 into a Johnson J-Station plugged directly into my soundcard.
