Bludspyre
Bludspyre
Bludspyre-(n.) 1.The lifeline of a humanoid
2. A cross made of blood
3. An Indiana prog-metal quartet.
This band has been through the ups and down. Through many different members until finalizing a solid lineup in 2006. They have opened for such reknowned bands such as MACHINEHEAD, NONPOINT, BURY YOUR DEAD, BOBAFLEX, HYDROVIBE, and the superstar band HELLYEAH.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Bludspyre started in a basement about 6 years ago between two teenagers, Tony Snyder and Sean Goodpaster. They went through 4 gruesome years and failing band members until they finalized the band's lineup with a drummer (Mike Delia) and a bassist/promoter (Tim Winchester) on May 27th, 2006.
Along with a warped named as BLUDSPYRE each band member took upon themselves a twisted nickname (from either high school or life itself) for each of them. Sean and Tony had their nicknames from early high school and placed upon themselves and solidified their nicknames (StG & Tbag Tonez). Tim and Mike asserted their nicknames from their friends (Tank and Mad Mike). The band managed to play numerous gigs nonstop until, two months after their 1 year anniversary, Mike Delia could no longer play the drums due to his fight with diabetes. They parted ways kindly and quickly found the new drummer in a matter of days. Roger Ford, previously from one of the first bands Bludspyre played with (Chain Down), took the sticks and filed the void that was left by Mike. (The band and Mike still chat with no hard feelings)
Roger was soon dubbed "Porkchop" and he took to Bludspyre's songs immediately. Now the band is coming up on their 2nd anniversary of being a complete (functioning) band and celebrating about 8 years of being the name Bludspyre. They have had the extreme pleasure of sharing the stage with notable regional acts such as, ILL CONCEIVED, IN SILENCE(California) TENSIONHEAD (Michigan) and TRIPROD (Illinois). They have also been given the priviledge to open up for HYDROVIBE, NONPOINT, BURY YOUR DEAD, MACHINEHEAD, and HELLYEAH.
Voiced by the screams and laments of StG, followed by the Dimebaggish riffs and solos of Tbag Tonez, this band plows their way into the music scene backed by the growling bass of Tank and the war drum sounds of Porkchop. A force to be reckoned with, and when the spiral of blood falls the world will soon follow.
