Blowing Bob
Saxophones are magic. That's why I like to blow them so much.
Here on this page you'll find mainly home recordings of jam sessions with a friend on piano

Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I blow on a tenorsax since 2004. Before that, I played percussion for 10 years. In 2005 I got a soprano sax, and a bit later I also bought a bariton. Next to some street performances with Ell Circo d'ell Fuego, I play in the Bolwerk fanfare (Gent) and Cafe con Leche (Gent)
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I play live as a living-background-tape in a circusproject, as an annoying loud tenor in a marching band and as a honkin' dude in that same ska band, Cafï con Leche
Your musical influences
Roel Jacobs (sax in "The Internationals" and "The Seatsniffers"), as he is my teacher. From style influences :
Klezmer (tons), a bit of jazz, classical music, poppy 2-to-4-chord progressions with basic improvising
What equipment do you use?
Raymond Dubois tenorsax (1920), BergLarsen stainless steel 115/2/SMS, Rico Jazz Select 3S
Dolnet Belair soprano, selmer mouthpiece, vandoren nï3
Symphony Bariton sax (Martin Handcraft copy of 1917), BergLarsen stainless steel 120/2/SMS, Rico Jazz Select 2M
Anything else?
