Harsh and aggresive or ambient and laid back......i hold no prejudices just as long as it's good.What equipment do you use?

Music is in the saddest state it's been at in a long time. Nothing but copycats and suburbanite fakers. I feel sorry for the generation being raised on this safe,packaged, fake rebellion....where are they going to draw influence from?...what does this say about the music of tommarow?...got to admit it's got me nervous.
I do have to say there's some good new stuff out there if you dig deep.....but it's getting scarcer and scarcer.
People need to stop whining and start stepping up thier skills. If you aren't sellin records....it's your fault. It has nothing to do with your genre.....even if you're making disco polka....if it's good at all there's an audience for it somewhere if you can market yourself correctly.
