Formed in the summer of 2006, BloodFest was supposed to be a mass collaboration between Nova Kain, SekShun-AIT, The Krazy Kidz, Fist of the North Star, Rhymeology, and a host of others. Two songs were recorded before internal issues drove the group apart. One of them, "Holy Evil" has been taken down and edited because of complaints by SekShun-AIT. The other track, featuring the first three mentioned acts, never saw the light of day, and might not even exist anymore.
Nova Kain and the remaining members moved on, resurrecting the Violent Messiah name in the fall of 2006, and have been working on new recordings ever since.
