Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Imagine a small rodeo town southeast of Dallas, where Friday nights consist of the High School football game and if your lucky, an episode of cow-patty bingo afterwards. Cedar Creek Lake is infamous for many things such as fishing, water sports, meth-labs and of course the vampires of Gun Barrel City. Who could have imagined a rock band emerging from Mayberry that would turn this Po-dunk town upside down?
In early 2002, a few friends from high school were just looking to play some bars and have a little fun. A couple of practices and 20 songs later, The Ninth Hour was formed. That band name, though, wouldnt last long; 4 months later they decided that The Ninth Hour didnt fit their style of music. After several name changesthis punk rock band became Blind Rumor.
A way to help fund the financial expenditures of the band, they decided to cover some of yesterday and todays top hits. Their first gig was set up at a family members house. Then they played at a couple of local clubs. From there, the word spread and they started playing several clubs and bars around the Dallas area.
In the summer of 2003, Blind Rumor hosted and headlined the 1st Annual Cedar Creek Summer Bash and played a showcase during South by Southwest in March 2004. Now they are playing larger venues, but still enjoy rocking with the smaller crowds.
Blind Rumor is now in the studio recording their first full-length album. Their live shows are packed with great music, high energy, and a HELL of a rocking time!!!
