Black 1- NoteBook
Black 1's Notebook, the first Release from Jaron Ikner Aka Black 1. This is Deep look into his Past, Present, and Future.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
5 years, 3 name changes and 100 songs later, it is finally here. "Notebook" a look into my life up to this point. "Notebook" is literally a look inside of my notebook, it consists of various spoken word verses and lyrics place to my own production. This Cd is literally the soundtrack to my life. How would i describe it? "Notebook" is College Dropout meets Blueprint meets The love Below meets Black on both sides. These 4 cds were the main inspiration for "Notebook." If i ever become successful, or even if i don't for that matter, i can say that "Notebook" was %100 Jaron Ikner. No Pop bullshit to sell records, no gimmicks, just me pour my fucking heart.
Every track on this CD is exceptional but one of my favorties is "Change of Pace" where i analyze the parallelism between my hardships and societies woes. Another one "A Star is Born" talks about my drive to become someone important. Then there is the torrid love song "Kiss Me, Kill Me", which talks about how i deal with a broken heart. But my two deepest tracks on the album are "Inside of Ur Mind" and "Notebook", both take deep looks inside of my psyche, adress some issues with my father and my love life and call for a revolution to make a change in the world. The Two tracks actually are the most important on the album.
I feel that everyone needs to hear this album at least once, i know that after you are finish you will want to take a deeper look inside of yourself... inside of your own mind. As i said before i'm trying to make a change! and with your help, we together can change the world.....
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, at Vaudeville, a nice little watering hole in tucson arizona.
