Jay Johnson, known as BillZBondZ, is a rapper from Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Fans have compared his sound to artists such as Digital Underground, 50 Cent, and Tupac. His style leans toward old-school hip-hop delivered over modern production.
Jay Johnson was born on July 19th, 1988, in Fairfax, Virginia, but didn’t start rapping until 17. Between 21 and 26, he struggled with addiction and a bad crowd. He left that life behind in 2015 with help from family and new friends. The music he made before using no longer felt connected to him, leading to the creation of the BillZBondZ name.
When he began recording again, it came from a confidence he hadn’t experienced earlierthe kind that comes from rebuilding after hitting bottom. Since then, he has released 12 albums from 2022 to now, contributing to a catalog of over 200 songs.
BillZBondZ also records as part of a few collaborative acts: Sol and the Sisko (with J. ORUN) Double Dragon (with Kpt. KaveMan)
