Jim Cook was born in INEZ kentucky and toured with several major country bands including Keith Whitley. Taylor McKinnon who leads the Taylormacs is from Birmingham Alabama, and is a 30 year AF retiree. Both Men learned music at home and in Church. They met at San Bernardino Valley College where Taylor was a faculty and Jim was a student.Jim Cook and the TaylorMACs olay Friday nights at the Colton CA American Legion Hall, plus other venues.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Established in year 2000, recorded Keepin It Country in 2001, recorded Everything I do Turns to Cash in 2002,recorded The Victors ( a recording of the songs Major McKinnon wrote during his 30 years overseas Air Force Duty starting with the KOREAN war AND MORPHING INTO THE Viet Nam MISTAKE.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Fridays at the Colton CA American Legion and other noghts at the silver spur saloon on 9th Street in San Bernardino.

Marshall 4X12 Amp. Ampex Sound system. personal equipment
Anything else?
I love to play my Kurtzweil keyboard through my Roland keyboard amp. I can make a 5 piece hilbilly band sound like the Boston Pops.
