BIG SLEEP
Big Sleep is the name of the imaginary 'band/group, that all the music I create with my friend and musical collaborator, Tony Webster goes under. Tony is pictured on the right in the photo; me on the left in the dark blue suit.
Tony is an artist / illustrator, writer of lyrics and stories, song arranger and a mine of information on any subject under the sun . . .
I (David A Briggs) play all the instruments (mostly of the stringed variety), perform all the studio 'jiggery-pokery', sing and dabble a little in the visual arts.Band/artist history
We've been making music together for a long time now . . . back when 4 track cassettes were the cutting edge . . .we both benefitted from a 'liberal', Art College background. The so called, post world war two, 'over educated' generation ;)Have you performed in front of an audience?No, but we would love to get a live band together sometime to perform our songs. It's a pipe dream...it's never going to happen.
Your musical influences
The Beatles, The Who, Be Bop Deluxe, Bill Nelson, R & B, Blues, Progessive Rock and every pop song ever to have been recorded.What equipment do you use?
My main electric guitar is a lovely red, Yamaha MSG Deluxe. My bass guitar of choice is a fireglow Rickenbacker 4003.
The DAW I use is Adobe Audition (1.5)
