Big Radio
Big Radio is a brand new band for 2005 that has already established a strong presence in the Vancouver, BC club scene attracting many hard rock fans to their full-force, hard-edged live performances.
Vancouver producer Ted Moore (KROME, Sean Meehan Band) is the band's vocalist and teams with writing partner/engineer Robert Graves (Mothers Fear, Blue Max) on guitars and keyboards, bassist Eddy Bugnut (Pollen, and former Seeds finalists Major Goodvibes), while ex-KROME drummer Doug Grant fuels big beat to Big Radios powerful modern hard rock sound.
Band/artist history
We are all pretty much veterans from the Vancouver rock and roll scene. We are extremely fortunate in this band to be surrounded by musicians who have spent many years in the music business playing just about everything under the sun. We have one guy that has taught music for several years while two others run their own recording studios. We couldn't ask for a more talented and resourceful group of people.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Big Radio is a full-time touring band that plays a minimum of two shows weekly throughout British Columbia. BC is a beautiful place to be a travelling rock band as the geography is astounding and the weather is always moderate.
Your musical influences
Big Radios hard rock sound puts a fresh and heavy spin on some old school influences- at times reminiscent of Nine Inch Nails with shades of Soundgarden, and at other moments displaying pure classic metal riffs al la Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin.
Big Radios material also suggests a distinct familiarity to some more recent bands like Velvet Revolver, Drowning Pool, Tool, and even shades of Linkin Park as heavy synth-laden riffs blend with a wall of purely atomic guitars.
