Big Name Button

In a scene overflowing with assimilated hardcore sounds,BIG NAME BUTTON is pumping out emotional, heart-filled, screamo and keeping it rousing with a sound that teeters between melody and mayhem. Forming in 2003, they began playing in a garage deep in the tenebrous mountains of Virgie, Ky, and soon after began playing shows at small local venues. Their first attempt at recording (The "My Perspective" EP) went way better than expected of the then four piece. But it was lacking something. Uncertain as to what, the band continued to play, and mature. With such emotion utilized into each new song, it soon became apparent as to what was missing. The proper vocalist. The 'front-man' search was assumed to be strenuous, but was actually uncomplicated. They invited a good friend of the group (Jimi Reynolds, formerly of 'boodahdamn') over for a quick practice session one day. As soon as he got behind the mic, the band members knew they had found their missing link, and Jimi became the fifth member of BIG NAME BUTTON. Within the next few months they will be recording a new cd with all new material. Be sure to check the website for more updates. -(brainxdead, 2005)
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Atom Collins. im 18 and i was born December 2 1984. I play bass in the band. This is my first band and its going to be the only. This is the most important and serious thing in my life besides getting tattoos. I'm a pretty down to earth guy. I like riding BMX, skateboarding, and peeing in the shower. I love all the guys in the band. my inspirations are Bad Religion, afi, Rancid, The Ataris, Juliana Theory, Taking Back Sunday, and Simple Plan. (because they were the first show I ever seen.) The Warped Tour 2003 made me want to be in a band more than anything in my life and, here I am now and we're not going to be a dissapointment. Jeremy "BoBo" Tackett... I'm 18 and I've been playing music since I was 6.. I started playing drums when I was 11... I've been in so many bands I can't count them, but I think this band is the one... I didn't even like punk until I met these boys... Now, I love it.. I still like alot of different types of music... My hobbies are playing music, working, and designing cars and motorcycles.. I really dont have a favorite punk band, I like just about all of it.. Thats about all I have to say... Brandon Osborne I am a Shelby Valley High School graduate of class of 2003. I love all kinds of music that is what I enjoy more than anything because I know it will allways be there for me. This is my first all punk band and it will be my only and last because we are takin it all the way. I play guitar and have been playing for about 6 years. I was first introduced to punk about 7 years ago. I have been inspired to play music ever since I first listened to my first Blink 182 song. You will see "Big Name Button" on Fuse Music TV Soon... so watch out... Jon Damron. I was born on September 6th of 1985 i am 18 years old and a graduate from Shelby Valley High School. I have been playing music since I was in the 8th grade when I wanted a guitar so bad I couldn't stand it. But since then I have learned to love all styles of music including my roots "Bluegrass" which I do play Banjo but on the other hand, Southern Rock, Modern Day Rock, Country, just about anything to tell you the truth, but I have always been the one in the Skynyrd band that loves what nobody elses likes or loves and thats PUNK!!! I have always been the one that on his free time from the band learns that style of music and now I have finally found the guys that has got me started in my first PUNK band. Big Name Button will never be a simple thing it will be the most serious thing in my life and the best thing that will ever happen to me.
