BIG E.R. is a lyricist's lyricist. Where everyone in hip-hop is worried about what they drive or how much money they have, BIG E.R.'s goal is basic hip-hop: destroy the competition. Lyrically, he is on top of his game and has been for years.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
BIG E.R. was a member of a rap group for almost 7 years when he saw that his career was going nowhere. When he left the group, the rapper he was died and like the mytholgical bird The Phoenix (also the title of his 1st independent CD), the ILLest Emcee was born. Lyrics are his focal point. Complicated wordplay. Skills. What's missing from some music today.

Influenced by everyone from Big Pun, Notorious B.I.G., PAC, M.O.P., Kool G. Rap, Rakim and Nas to television (OZ) and movies (Reservoir Dogs), Big E.R. has a little bit for everyone. His biggest influence is his daughter, Jazmine Lydia.
