Big Baby Satan was originally formed to be a studio project for guitarist Larry Forman and drummer Mike Hymson. The two had put out numerous ads searching for the right people, but no one seemed to want to jam with them. Everyone wanted to do a “rap metal” project, but no one just wanted to lay down some heavy grooves. One night at rehearsal, Mike mentioned that one of his friends’ bands had just broken up and that they, BBS (Big Baby Satan), should see if the singer was interested in jamming. In stepped Kerry Merkle, to take on the role of singer/screamer/lyricist. After the completion of their debut CD, they recruited the bass styling of Ivan Gonsolez, an old band mate of Kerry's, and BBS was ready to rumble!
Then, due to illness, Mike had to take his leave of BBS. This put a bit of a damper on things until Ivan and Kerry suggested a buddy of theirs. A guy named Steve came down to try-out, and immediately he was the guy that was need. So Steve is now bashing the skins for BBS as they prepare to take on the world!

Kerry, the debonair little vocalist and lyricist, has been in a few successful projects to date and is no stranger to the NY Metal scene. He has been a member such local favorites as Redshift and 54. Both projects also had Ivan as one of the key members. Larry, the husky goateed guitarist, and Steve are no strangers to the scene either. They have been bouncing around the Long Island music scene for years, and both have been part of some fairly successful projects. Larry is formerly a member of Mr. Murray, WeHateJulia, and a bunch of other bands, while Steve was a member of Urine, Special Sauce and numerous other projects. Together they gel and make up Big Baby Satan. Look outHave you performed in front of an audience?We play live every week at the A room rehearsal studios. No, just kidding. We have played locally, opening for some national acts as well as playing with local artists. It really is where we shine, because we just go up and enjoy it...
