Band/artist history
Ive been locked into music since day one growing up in Kokomo, Indiana, hip-hop was more than just something I listened to, it was something I lived. I started out writing rhymes and recording wherever I could, hungry to get better with every verse. Before long, I was also making my own beats, because I wanted full control of my sound and didnt want to wait on anyone else to create the vibe I heard in my head. It wasnt an overnight thing. I spent years grinding learning how to produce, mix, and build my catalog track by track. Ive put in hours studying the legends while still carving out my own lane. That consistency, plus the drive to stay true to myself, is what got me here. Now Im building as both an artist and a producer under Benafit & Benafit Beats. Every song, every beat is another step forward, and SoundClick is one of the places I use to share that journey. Im still hungry, still creating, and still working to make sure my name is one you dont forget.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yeah, Ive definitely hit the stage. Performing live is one of the best parts of being an artist because you get that raw, unfiltered energy straight from the crowd. One of my biggest highlights was competing in the Light Up the Mic competition I went in hungry, put everything into my performance, and ended up winning it not once, not twice, but three times. Those moments showed me that what Im creating really connects with people in real time. Every time I stepped on that stage, it was about proving myself, showing the passion behind my music, and leaving everything out there. Each win gave me more confidence to keep pushing, and it reminded me that consistency and authenticity always shine through.
Your musical influences
My influences come straight from the legends the ones who built hip-hop from the ground up and set the standard for what real music is. I studied the greats: Pac for the passion and raw truth, Biggie for the flow and storytelling, Jay-Z for the hustle and business mind, Nas for the lyricism and timelessness, Eminem for the technical skill and hunger, and groups like Wu-Tang for the raw creativity and energy. But its not just about the old school. Ive learned from newer voices too the ones who kept pushing the sound forward without losing the roots. All of those influences mix into my own lane. I take the lessons they gave the world and put them into my own grind, building music thats honest, powerful, and designed to last. At the end of the day, Im influenced by anyone who put their soul into their art and built a legacy doing it thats the blueprint Im chasing.
What equipment do you use?
At the end of the day, it doesnt matter what equipment youre working with its about how you use it. Ive created with professional setups and Ive created with the bare minimum, and the grind stays the same. The most important tools are my creativity, consistency, and ear for detail. Gear can change, software can change, but the vision and work ethic dont. I believe if youve got the passion and the drive, you can make fire no matter whats in front of you.
Anything else?
My goal is simple but big: to make music that lasts and builds a legacy. As an artist, I want my songs to connect with people whether its motivating someone, telling a story they relate to, or just giving them a vibe they cant forget. As a producer, I want to craft beats that inspire other artists and elevate their sound, while also creating my own catalog of instrumentals that stand out in the industry. Long-term, Im working to grow my brand, reach new audiences, and collaborate with talented artists worldwide. Every song and beat I release is a step toward building something bigger than myself a name that people respect for quality, creativity, and authenticity.
