BEHELL
True UK blackmetal in the classic style. Formed in 1994 after extensive listening to Darkthrone's 'Under a Funeral Moon' and 'A Blaze in the Northern Sky' and Immortal's 'Pure Holocaust'.
Behell chose to stay true to the cold, raw and uncompromising lo-fi sound of pure hateful blackmetal!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Formed in 1994 by Devillo (guitar) and Morbid (Bass & vox).
Goblin (drums) and Blasphemo Raper of Whores (guitar) joined in 1995 for gigs. Goblin left and Blasphemo switched to drums for more gigs in 1996. Fearo D Devilsword joined on guitar for a gig in London. Devillo became a silent member for a while as the band existed with just three members (Blasphemo - Guitar, Morbid - Bass & Vocals, Nocturnal Arsonist - Drums & Fires). In 2002 Devillo & Morbid resurrected the original sound, returning as a duo almost a decade later. The current line-up is: Devillo Culto - Lead Guitar & Spellcasting, Morbid - Drums, Bass & Lead Vocals.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?

A bit of info for you:
Devillo & Morbid only meet to rehearse and drink every few months as Devillo lives out in the sticks in a dilapidated old house. Dev only communicates using an old 'Walkie-Talkie' from World War II and sleeps in a coffin which we stole from a cemetary when they exhumed some very old bodies. The coffin was just planks of rotten wood, but we quickly nailed them together. Sometimes Morbid buries his clothes for a few weeks ready for Behell's annual rehearsal.
